Simon Cairns
General Manager

Simon Cairns is Law Firm Staff's General Manager. After a successful career in general insurance working for one of the UK's leading insurers, Simon studied law at Westminster University in London. He went on to study at the Inns of Court School of Law and qualified as a barrister at Grays Inn. Though he secured a pupilage in London, Simon chose to use his more commercial skills and began working for a US litigation-support firm. Simon often provided guidance and advice to friends and colleagues about career decisions, and in 1999, he took this one step further, becoming a legal recruiter at London's leading legal support recruiting. After 18 months, Simon became the firm's manager and continued to work there for three more years. During that time, the company grew, further developing relationships with the leading law firms in the UK. Simon made the permanent move to the US in 2004 in order to join the Juriscape Group.

Jackie Gauldin, CPC
Director Legal Staffing

Jackie has over twenty years of experience in the legal community. She began her legal career as a litigation paralegal at Norton, Pennington, Goetz, Cronkright & Prior in Atlanta. For the last thirteen years, Jackie has worked as a legal recruiter in the Southeast, and has become extremely well connected in the region. Her ability to locate, interview, screen, and qualify the top talent in the legal industry has earned her clients' trust and respect, and thus she continues to serve many long-term clients. In her recruiting career, Jackie has placed both senior partners and associates, and she has also been extremely successful placing legal support staff. She also has senior level search experience in placing personnel in professional support positions in finance, human resources, information technology and general management.

Jackie credits her success to her no-nonsense communication style, her marketing skills, and her business acumen. Jackie's concentration lies in placing outstanding candidates in general commercial litigation, insurance, finance, and professional liability practice groups, although she routinely places candidates in many legal departments.

Law Firm Staff has benefited, along with her clients, from Jackie's professionalism and work ethic.

Renee Boudrot
Director Legal Staffing

Renee has more than 18 years of experience in the legal community. She began her legal career as a litigation legal secretary at Airth, Sellers & Lewis in Live Oak, FL. Renee then relocated to Atlanta and worked with leading law firm Holland & Knight for eight years. Renee worked for several partners in litigation including one partner who was (at the time) the president of the State Bar of Georgia. During this time, Renee also undertook various extracurricular administrative duties as required by her partner in addition to her secretarial duties.

Renee transitioned into legal recruiting in 2000. Finding a role that combined her legal background and her enthusiasm for dealing with the public, Renee quickly became a trusted name in legal recruiting in the Southeast, dealing with most of the region’s top firms. Renee prides herself on finding the "right fit" for her law firm clients and candidates. Her ability to market each of her candidates to exactly the right firm has been the reason that she has received a great deal of repeat business from major law firms and corporations and countless referrals. "I feel that my legal secretarial experience has certainly helped me empathize with my candidates and clients," she explains.

Elizabeth Cody
Managing Director

Elizabeth (Beth) is the Managing Director of Law Firm Staff's Palo Alto office. She brings a wealth of experience to Law Firm Staff. Beth previously worked in legal recruiting in New York City. She also spent sixteen years at West Publishing, later Thomson-West, in various positions in account management, business development, and sales management. In her sales management capacity, she managed sales teams whose sales territories covered much of the U.S., including the Northwest, parts of the Midwest, and the entire states of California, Hawaii, New Jersey, New York, and Colorado. In addition to her legal recruiting and management background, she has gained experience in positions involving sales consulting and electronic discovery consulting.

Beth earned her B.A. from Brown University, where she majored in Comparative Literature, English and Spanish, and received her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law. She is an avid tennis player and oil painter. Her family has lived in California for many generations and she is a native of San Francisco. She currently resides in Palo Alto.
