Assists in maintaining the partners' tax databases and historical information used by firm management. Develops the Tax Analysts and leads them in their professional development endeavors; acts as a mentor and leads the Tax Analysts in the preparation of accurate tax returns. Ensures appropriate tax compliance with regards to various tax procedures and research projects. Coordinates with all areas of the firm where overlap exists to develop efficient procedures/communications to stream-line processes and satisfy various department needs. Works to identify and complete projects on various issues when needed. Promotes effective work practices, works as a team member, and shows respect for co-workers. Bachelor's degree in accounting is required. CPA or working progress toward CPA is desired. Relevant experience with preparing U.S. federal and state individual income tax returns is required. Related experience with international individual and expatriate tax issues is desired. Ability to use database software, spreadsheet, and word processing software and equipment to complete analysis and reports is needed. Advanced knowledge and proficiency in PC applications, specifically MS Excel is required.
