Washington, DC office seeks a senior engineer-database administrator with 5-7 years of experience. The candidate will be responsible for the designing, implementation, operation and maintenance of all aspects of the firm-wide database infrastructure including design, standardization, security, replication and backup/recovery strategy under the direction of the Manager Systems Engineering. Provide full design, planning, configuration, documentation, deployment and top-level support ownership of the following infrastructure technologies. Determine file organization, index methods, shared-server leverage and security procedures. The candidate will serve as user support specialist for the firm's DC office; and must be willing to work in the neighboring Northern Virginia office for short periods as the need arises.
