Junior Paralegal - Commercial Litigation and Corporate Transactions The candidate will be investigating cases and conducting legal research. Will be preparing, drafting, and reviewing legal documents, including motions, affidavits, orders, subpoenas, and pleadings. Formatting legal documents for attorneys. Preparing and electronically filing legal documents with its respective courts. Preparing for depositions, including managing exhibits and exhibit logs and managing deposition transcripts and exhibits. Contacting court clerks regarding specific cases and filings. Creating various corporate entities in New York, New Jersey and Delaware. Managing firm database, client documents, and document production.
The candidate should have a Bachelors Degree. Must have 1-2 years of paralegal experience, preferably in corporate law. Excellent research, organizational and multi-tasking skills essential. Extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required. Familiarity with Pacer, Westlaw, online court filing systems, Westlaw (or its equivalent), and the New York and New Jersey legal systems needed. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
