Analyze large amounts of due diligence materials regarding all aspects of a company's business operations. Prepare and file First Day Pleadings; experience with Electronic Court Filings. Draft administrative first-day pleadings. Maintain deadline and attorney calendar. Cite check and research/update precedent in first and second-day pleadings filed; familiar with the local rules. Identify any changes that will affect the filings and send a detailed e-mail to attorneys indicating amendments. Coordinate with the client's financial advisors and the client to obtain and analyze certain due diligence material in preparation of major charts and notices to be included as part of the filing material. Correspond with clients, creditors and other interested parties regarding status of cases and other issues. Collate information and exhibits for motions, applications, notices, memoranda, proofs of claim and orders to the court. Assist with the preparation of fee statements and applications; maintain professional fee spreadsheets; analyze dockets, pleadings and monthly invoices and prepare detailed memorandum to clients summarizing the data. Proofread documents and exhibits, charts and diagrams. Work closely with other practice groups and offices on matters related to restructuring / reorganizations. Provide training to new paralegals and junior paralegals. Commitment to work overtime and available for travel as needed. Must have Bachelor s Degree. Should have 5+ years of experience as a Restructuring / Bankruptcy Paralegal. Working knowledge of Westlaw and Live Edgar is needed. Knowledge of Best Case Solutions and SharePoint is must. Assist with signature pages, collect and organize signed documents, insert dates, assist with the distribution of original documents, upload signed documents to specific data rooms and prepare closing binders. Requirements : The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate and have 8 years of Corporate Paralegal experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
