Legal Secretary (Litigation, Bankruptcy) Responsibilities: Creating and editing complex documents, spreadsheets and presentations. Submitting specialized conflicts and entering attorney time. Creating zip files, converting documents from Word to PDF. Troubleshooting documents. Answering questions and provide technical help when required. Cleaning-up and format scanned documents. Proofread work for accuracy. Processing, drafting, and filing bankruptcy-related documents. Reviewing and analyzing bankruptcy claims. Gathering information from creditors, debtors, trustees, and court clerks. Responsible for document preparation, editing, file maintenance and monthly client billing. Filing electronic court filings, pleadings and process mail. Traveling arrangements and reimbursements. Handles administrative confidential/sensitive firm and/or client information. Qualifications: Should have 5-10 years of litigation experience in a mid to large-sized law firm and be proficient in legal secretarial and administrative tasks. Familiarity with local court rules. Should have strong interpersonal and communication skills and excellent client service. Must be proficient in MS Word, Outlook (including utilization of styles and pleading to format documents), Excel, and PowerPoint; must exhibit strong typing skills and have the ability to learn and quickly become proficient in new computer software programs. Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, work independently, and multi-task are a must. Ability to work in a high-volume environment. Should possess excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills.
