Overview Fort Lauderdale Greenspoon Marder is currently seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join our Downtown Fort Lauderdale office's Real Estate Practice! The ideal candidate will be an experienced, dedicated Commercial Real Estate Paralegal who is looking for a challenge. Please see below for your Real Estate Paralegal duties and responsibilities! Responsibilities Your Commercial Real Estate Paralegal Duties and Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Knowledge about lease negotiations, financing options, lending requirements and documents Proofread all documents and correspondence for accuracy Preparing contracts, including lease or rental agreements and closing documents Facilitate communication between the attorneys for the buyer and sellers Reviewing title reports Monitoring financial transactions Preparing legal descriptions of land Make revisions to documents and keep track of deal changes and update accordingly Prepare signature pages for all deal documents Title and survey review; which includes but is not limited to, reviewing and abstracting title documents, covenants, restrictions and easements, leases, etc. Entity formation Prepare and maintain closing checklists Assist in preparations for closing and attendance at closings, whether in escrow or in person Prepare closing binders Prepare summaries of loan documents and other material documents Handle all support aspects of a commercial transaction, title/survey review, UCC research and filings, due diligence, ancillary document drafting, and closing/post-closing procedures Maintain organized files for voluminous transactions Competencies: Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent attention to detail Strong organizational skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with or without direct supervision Ability to coordinate and handle multiple projects in a timely manner Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and the ability to conduct Internet research Strong writing and editing skills Professional and pleasant demeanor Flexibility for unscheduled overtime as needed Qualifications Preferred Education and Experience: Minimum of three to five years' of Commercial Real Estate and/or Transactional experience, required Experience with CM/ECF Greenspoon Marder is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
