Commercial Real Estate Paralegal Duties: The candidate will draft conveyance, loan, and closing documents for review and revision by supervising attorney. Document transaction tasks and key dates. Review and analyze title commitments and surveys and work to resolve title exceptions with title examiners and surveyors. Verify entity status on various Secretary of State websites, review organizational documents, and create borrowing resolutions. Conduct basic online legal and business research, including on the GSCCCA and county clerk and recorder's websites. Coordinate document execution and closing logistics. Disburse closing funds, including initiating wires and cutting checks from client trust accounts. Manage recording process for security liens such as deeds/mortgages, modifications, and UCC financing statements. Track post-closing matters, including the status of recorded documents and final title policies, and manage the transmission of all recorded documents to lenders and owners. Assist in the preparation of other transactional documents, including purchase and sale agreements, commercial lease agreements and amendments, easements, and general agreements. Set up corporations, companies, and estates, draft organizational documents, and file annual reports to maintain good standing. Document support, including editing, organizing, and filing. Qualifications: The candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree, Paralegal Certification a plus. And 2+ years of paralegal experience in commercial real estate and finance transactions, preferably in a law firm setting, an in-house legal department, or a title company. Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision. Effective interpersonal and teamworking skills. Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe products. Knowledge of recording standards and procedures for filing real estate instruments. Strong administrative skills such as typing, filing, and compiling case and matter files. Proofreading and error correction. Business math computations.
