Commercial Real Estate Paralegal Duties: Prepare documents for large commercial loans and acquisitions, including loan agreements, notes, security deeds and mortgages, estoppel certificates, buy-sell agreements, indemnification agreements, releases, etc. Analyze and review title and survey documents and prepare necessary documents to correct or clear title. Coordinate closing logistics to include preparation of closing checklists, execution and recordation of appropriate documents and organize complex transactional files. Coordinate post-closing follow-up including recording documents, wiring funds, organizing files and preparation of closing documents binders. Perform legal research for real estate law practice and procedures, including form execution and acknowledgement of real estate documents. Maintain positive relationships with firm attorneys, co-counsel, clients and vendors. Keep accurate time records. Observe confidentiality of client matters. Requirements: 4-year undergraduate degree and/or a paralegal certificate (ABA approved school preferred) both being a plus. Should also possess outstanding organization skills Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Excellent verbal communication skills Ability to work on multiple priorities simultaneously Excellent research capabilities Proven ability to work independently and be a critical member of legal team. Qualifications: Should have high school diploma or GED and 3-5 years of real estate assistant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent planning and organizational skills are needed. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office 2013, Outlook and Elite/DTE (or other comparable time and billing software).
