Paralegal (Employment Law and Business Litigation) Responsibilities: Knowledge of federal and state employment law court rules and procedures for filing and lodging documents as well as filing deadlines. Prepare pleadings, certain motion documents, petitions, settlement agreements, and other correspondence. Draft declarations, written discovery and responses thereto, and keep discovery and records logs. Organize and summarize voluminous documents, to include preparing chronologies and fact tables, as well as summarizing of deposition manuscripts. Prepare/manage subpoenas and deposition notices and scheduling. Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, mediation, and trials. Organize and summarize voluminous documents, including preparing chronologies and fact tables. Manage case files, including importing electronic files into Eclipse and other document management software; prepare, organize and summarize document productions. From time to time may be called upon to perform administrative support functions, such as scanning documents, e-mailing documents to clients and experts, maintaining client files, meeting with clients, etc. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or a Paralegal Certificate preferred. Must have 3 years of employment law or business litigation paralegal experience. Strong administrative skills and attention to detail. Professional appearance and professional communication with clients and co-workers. Experience with iManage, Compulaw, Forms Workflow, Westlaw, Excel and/or other comparable programs is a must.
