IP Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities: Litigation: state/federal, from opening to settlement and throughout trial; E-File documents with Courts and communicate with clerks to schedule hearings; Compose legal documents for review by attorney, send stipulations for approval; Draft shells and finalize pleadings, motions, memoranda, and briefs for Court filings; Investigate facts and law as well as e-discovery for trial exhibits and production; Create and organize witness files, draft discovery requests and deposition notices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and paralegal certificate preferred. 5+ years of litigation experience within a law firm environment. Able to work independently. Proficient in Microsoft Office products. Experience in and able to learn and manage complex databases. Detail oriented with exceptional organization skills. Analytical thinking skills sufficient to make decisions regarding daily work, and ability to learn from mistakes. Enjoys being in a supportive role. Ability to work under independently, with minimal supervision and handle multiple assignments simultaneously. Familiarity with PACER system for federal court filing and procedures for e-filing documents in federal district courts and federal courts of appeal. Familiarity with King County ECR online filing systems, and with rules and procedures for filing and serving documents electronically in King County Superior Court. Experience with e-discovery, and use of electronic or online litigation document-management systems. Proficient in the litigation lifecycle, including.
