Paralegal - IP Litigation The candidate will be reviewing and analyzing matters for the purpose of preparing status reports to attorneys and clients. Will be establishing, organizing, and maintaining pleadings, attorney trial notebooks, expert witness notebooks, and document indices and lists. Obtaining written statements from witnesses. Reviewing and outlining depositions, indices and summarizing documents. Assisting in the trial of cases. Scheduling of witnesses and tracks exhibits. Performing assigned legal research tasks using all available resources including libraries and computer data systems. Proofreading and marking legal documents. The candidate must have a four-year college degree. A paralegal certificate is preferred. Should have 2 years of experience as a litigation paralegal to include pretrial and trial experience. Must have knowledge of federal court filing procedures, electronic discovery, cite checking and. Should have the ability to conduct database searches utilizing Westlaw, Lexis/Nexis, PACER, Concordance, the USPTO website, and other search engines as needed. Knowledge of the US Patent and Trademark Office, patent experience and experience working with the International Trade Commission are a plus. Should be able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints. Should have prior experience and a working knowledge of document management software systems. Prior experience with large case management and eDiscovery is required.
