Commercial Litigation Paralegal Duties: Drafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents, and filing with the court. Propound/respond discovery requests. Calendar and manage court deadlines. Prepare and file documents with state and federal courts. Review, summarize and organize medical records. Gather and organize documents for discovery responses. Schedule Depositions and Mediation., Draft correspondence and regularly communicate with clients, experts, and defense counsel in an effective and courteous manner. Assist with pre-trial preparation, including drafting trial documents and preparing exhibits. Prioritize and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Perform other typical paralegal duties include communicating with adjusters, attorneys, medical providers, experts and the courts, drafting correspondence and pushing cases forward in the process. Attend certain trials to provide paralegal support Qualifications: Should have 4 years of experience in personal injury litigation. Must have commercial trucking litigation experience. Knowledge of Texas Civil Procedure and Local Court Rules. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong written and oral communication skills. Great time management and multi-tasking skills. Proficient and experienced in using paperless case management systems.
