Assisting attorneys in preparing for hearings, mediation, depositions, appellate proceedings and trial. The candidate should have 2+ years of legal experience in Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS/CPS). Juvenile Delinquency and Appellate cases is strongly preferred. 5+ years of legal experience in Family Law including contested conservatorship and property division cases preferred0. Strong document preparation skills in WordPerfect and/or Microsoft Word essential. Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro and Outlook required. Proficient in e-filing using Efile, TXCourts.gov and ProDoc. Client interaction including review of discovery, deposition preparation, etc. should have High School Diploma. Bilingual (English/ Spanish). Moderate to heavy Plaintiff Personal Injury litigation experience (i.e. car/truck accident). Paralegal Certification. Federal Court Experience/ Filing a plus; Needles experience.
