Paralegal (Litigation and Labor & Employment) The candidate will assist litigation/appellate and labor and employment attorneys to perform legal tasks including research; document procurement, review, summarization, management and production; drafting and filing form pleadings; and case and trial preparation. Analyze, maintain and produce legal and other documents. Draft form pleadings and releases with supervision. Assist with propounding and answering writing discovery. Prepare subpoenas and deposition notices. Request records, assist with responding to discovery, and prepare Freedom of Information Act requests and authorizations for the release of medical, employment and other records. Perform social media research. Prepare deposition summaries and chronologies. Check dockets and file pleadings (including e-filing in state and federal district and appellate courts). Use Lexis, Bloomberg and other legal research and analytical tools. Prepare trial exhibits, trial notebooks and bench books and demonstrative exhibits. Communicate with clients, court personnel, experts, attorneys and others by telephone, in person and in writing, obtaining and giving information as directed. Bachelor's degree required.
