Will be main point of contact with Clients and defers to attorney all legal questions from clients. Performs file reviews and provides updates and feedback to Attorney on regular basis. Understands and has working knowledge of each pre-litigation file assigned to attorney(s), knows parties involved basic facts and case status. Assists answering telephone, directs calls appropriately, takes messages. Manages, records, and stores correspondence for cases. Assists in managing client medical treatment (arranging appointments, interpreters, transportation, confirming appointments). Aids Attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests. Schedules depositions, hearings, disbursement, etc. Evaluates for demand; evaluates offers and suggest counter offers for attorney s approval. Prepares Cases for settlement. Other job duties as assigned. The candidate should preferably have previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field. Familiarity with knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court practices is required. Must be able to prioritize and work independently with a voluminous workload. Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to read, write, and speak fluently and professionally in Spanish and English.
