Paralegal Clerk - Litigation, Arbitration, and Employment (LAE) Practice The candidate will be responsible for the matter, Paralegal Clerks may assist in such tasks as: correspondence and discovery, hearings and trials, administrative proceedings, briefs, and settlements. Paralegal Clerks also play a significant role in the retrieval, review and production of documents. File and serve pleadings on a daily basis. Assist in drafting select case pleadings. Coordinate with the Managing Clerks office, in preparation for the filing and service of a variety of pleadings, in accordance with strict deadlines. Maintain case pleadings, correspondence, discovery and research, electronically and in hard copy format. Input and update data into case team database. Coordinate with attorneys and paralegals for database updates. Assist with document retrieval, review, organization and receipt of materials received from co-counsel and client. Act as custodian of all documents. Conduct legal research using Lexis and Westlaw. Retrieve, organize, and index documents related to case files. Organize and prepare logs. Coordinate work with outside document/litigation vendors, including adherence to strict deadlines. Meet minimum 1,650 hour annual billable requirement. Maintain confidentiality of client information. Other duties as assigned. The candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Should have excellent attention to detail. Must have ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with or without direct supervision. Must have strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. BS/BA degree or equivalent experience preferred.
