IP Litigation Paralegal Duties: Maintaining docket of trademark portfolios, organizing department within the internal company database Assist in managing international trademark portfolios, including consulting with the attorneys as appropriate, and working with outside U.S. and/or international trademark counsel. Oversee execution, notarization and legalization and apostille of documents for submission in international trademark matters. Handle all aspects of U.S. trademark prosecution and maintenance, including maintenance of files, and consulting with the attorneys as appropriate. Oversee the progress of IP disputes, including maintenance of files and databases; reviewing and evaluating correspondence from US and foreign counsel and drafting responses to same; gathering and providing foreign counsel with information/documentation and other evidence relevant to the dispute. Prepare and file documents with the USPTO in connection with the application, maintenance and ownership of U.S. trademarks. Administer, maintain and oversee entries of Trademark matters into the IP database; monitor status of docket action items and ensure deadlines are met, run related reports. Communicate directly with foreign associates on foreign trademark prosecution and maintenance matters. Oversee and manage the integration and transition of new client trademark portfolios transferred to the firm. Generate reports detailing: various aspects of client trademark portfolios, upcoming deadlines for client matters. Qualifications: Four-year degree, large firm and/or boutique experience required. Must have 3+ years experience. Trademark experience.
