Real Estate Property Tax Analyst/Paralegal The candidate will write briefs in support of clients arguments for reduced assessments. Will assist attorneys and analysts in writing briefs in support of requests for lower assessments. Review client files and determine data needed to analyze fair assessed value for various types of residential and commercial properties. Analyze client documentation such as rent rolls, income/expense statements, photos, vacant space info. Draft forms for client signature and follow up with clients on outstanding needs for pending appeals. Conduct record searches via internet related to property tax appeals. Request records from government entities. Write routine correspondence. Prepare reports using Excel.
The candidate should have 2+ years of experience preparing property tax appeals. Requires basic knowledge of modern office procedures, practices, and office equipment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the internet essential. Advanced knowledge of Excel is an extreme plus, intermediate knowledge required. Law firm experience a plus.
