Real Estate Paralegal Duties: Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel on deal status and follow up. Review due diligence for development projects, and work with attorneys on your team to advise the client on risks and issues. Order and review title commitments, exception documents and surveys, interfacing directly with the title company and surveyor to resolve any issues or discrepancies. Prepare and administer contract critical dates and closing checklists. Coordinate and assist with all aspects of closings, including preparation of documents. Prepare clear and concise correspondence and memorandum. Prepare initial drafts of various documents, including amendments to agreements or leases, estoppel certificates, SNDAs and Memos of Lease for attorney review. Review organizational and authority documents. Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate. 5 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions, including experience with acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing. Experience in real estate development is a plus but not required. Top law firm or in-house experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook or similar mail/ calendar technology. Superior project management skills and experience managing due diligence as part of an acquisition or lease. Strong writing, organizational and communication skills. Extensive knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and legal terminology.
