Legal Secretary / Litigation Assistant The candidate's duties include: Prepare, revise, and finalize correspondence, discovery responses, court forms, motions and other legal documents; File legal documents in federal and state courts, including e-filing and complex litigation filings; Prepare documents for service of process; prepare case shell documents for use by attorneys as well as generate table of contents and authorities; Schedule appointments and calendaring; Monitor litigation deadlines and assist in the execution of those deadlines; Review incoming mail for calendaring & distribute to appropriate attorney; Coordinate and schedule depositions; prepare notices and subpoenas as needed; Schedule and notice independent medical exams (IMEs). Should have solid knowledge of California and federal court rules for filing & serving discovery, motions and pleadings. Must have High proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Outlook, Excel). Knowledge of iManage and CompuLaw is a plus. Must have 4+ Years of experience.
