Proficiency with making and managing travel arrangements with assistance of travel agency to ensure all aspects of travel are made accurately and communicated effectively (i.e., air, hotel, car, train, meeting rooms, travel memberships accounts and the like). Answer, screen and place phone calls to clients and other business associates and respond to client inquiries. Open, review and route mail as directed. Provide assistance to other Legal Secretaries within Firm whenever necessary to meet Firm and client needs. Qualifications: Associates degree preferred. 3+ years of legal secretarial experience in a law firm environment working with multiple attorneys. Proficiency in MS Word and Adobe a must, typing speed of 65+ words/min. Advanced knowledge in formatting briefs, pleadings and other litigation documents. Legal Secretary - Real Estate/Corporate The candidate will draft addendums to real estate contracts. Schedule and coordinate real estate closings with attorneys, lenders and title company and brokers (if any). Order and review title / surveys and underline title documents. Prepare escrow instructions. Create and maintain closing files / organize closing binders. Coordinate filing of corporate documents with clients. Should have 5+ years experience as a legal secretary in order to be familiar with court rules, procedures, calendaring requirements. Must have ability to proficiently use firm provided software programs for word processing, document management, timekeeping, business expense claims, check requests for vendor expenses (Ex: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint; PDF editing software), perform non-complex arithmetic calculations when verifying calculations on forms and documents and when maintaining records and files at a level normally acquired through high school or the equivalent.
