Act as a liaison between client and attorney by furnishing and requesting information as needed and assist in completion of administrative reports as required by client or assigned by office management. Assist attorney with trial preparation, including preparation of trial exhibits. Knowledge of trial procedures. Prior experience as a workers compensation legal secretary and EAMS filing required and Transcription Experience. Should be highly proficient with the usage of the case management system and other software applications. Assists Attorney in preparation for depositions. Communicates with witnesses and experts and assists with preparation of anticipated testimony. Assists with scheduling. Enters billing and expense data into Firm system in a timely manner. Coordinates major projects or cases, some of which may involve the work of multiple paralegals. 5+ years of paralegal experience, preferably working in a labor/employment litigation practice are required. ABA-approved Paralegal certificate and a degree from accredited college or university are required. Experience in preparing attorneys for trials, arbitrations and mediations with little or no supervision are required. Experience with assistance at trial. Experience with preparing third-party subpoenas (including calculation of all deadlines). Experience with trial preparation software, including Trial Director, LiveNote, CaseMap is preferred.
