Litigation Paralegal The candidate will prepare indices and timelines from client documents and interviews, review and analyze business records and financial documents, cite-checking, prepare and manage discovery, trial preparation, and maintain familiarity with court rules and procedures. Identify and secure business records, electronic data, email, physical documents, and assets at the business sites, as well as participating in interviews and assisting in the investigation and preparation of reports to the supervising court.
The candidate must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal program with 3 years of relevant experience; strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with clients, governmental agencies, and harmed consumers; ability to meet deadlines; excellent attention to detail; experience with court rules and cite-checking (Bluebook); excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills; a positive attitude and ability to communicate with partners. Must be periodically involved in regulatory receiverships or monitorships pursuant to a court order, which often includes immediate access to defendants business premises without prior notice. Should be flexible, quick-thinking, and able to conduct themselves in a professional manner when interacting with others, organize both physical records and tasks on the fly, review documents searching for key information, and work independently with minimal supervision.
