Legal Secretary - Litigation The candidate will support multiple lawyers defending litigation matters in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. Prior experience with an Insurance Defense firm is preferred. Document preparation; scheduling depositions; court filings; processing records subpoenas; organization and maintenance of discovery files; trial preparation, expense reports; travel arrangements; time entry; billing edits; and other traditional support functions. Working knowledge of filing procedures in local Circuit and District Courts - DC, MD and VA, Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Microsoft office proficientcy, including document merge and labelling, Proactive work style, taking initiative to anticipate attorney needs. Familiarity with Client billing guideline procedures are required.
