Will track all matters handled by the Firm in the Supreme Court and will maintain the appellate brief bank and the practices web presence. will manage monthly updates and client alerts relating to Supreme Court cases. Will primarily work under the direction of the partners, attorneys and other paralegals in the Supreme Court and appellate practice group and the paralegal manager. Will manage all Firm filings in the U.S. Supreme Court and will work collaboratively with Firm partners in identifying new opportunities for the Firm to engage in matters before the Supreme Court. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and evidence of exceptional scholastic achievement required. Background in, familiarity with, and/or educational training in performing substantive research projects preferred. Strong interest in and basic understanding of the U.S. Supreme Court and appellate practice preferred. Experience working with case management or tracking reports preferred. Client relationship and communications skills, including evidence of excellent reading skills, writing ability with clarity, analytical skills, ability to summarize research results with brevity and professionalism are essential. Must demonstrate attention to detail, quality control, responsiveness, accuracy, and discretion, and accountability for deadlines and early identification of potential changes to schedule are required. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively and actively by email, in-person, and telephone with a diverse group of clients, attorneys and staff, provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact, and permit successful collaboration and sharing ownership of the end-product with the lawyers and other members of the practice groups.
