Litigation Paralegal Duties: Collection, organization of, indexing and management of case materials, including electronic databases. Review, assessment of, coding and/or compilation of documents, and production of those materials. Collection and maintenance of witness materials. Word processing, proofing and finalization of discovery and pleadings. Electronic court filing (state and federal) and preparation of materials for same. Docketing case deadlines. Trial preparation and support. Qualifications: Professional demeanor and attitude Conscientious, thoughtful, and proactive approach to tasks and workload management, including the ability to establish priorities, work independently, and take initiative when appropriate. Ability to effectively take instruction, think through tasks, identify potential issues, and propose alternative paths or solutions. Unrelenting attention to detail and production of high-quality and useful work product. Knowledge of civil litigation rules and procedures, including those regarding court filings. Ability to deal with cases involving a high volume of documents and the related organizational and case management issues. Proficiency with e-discovery, including substantial experience with litigation support databases (e.g. Relativity, eDiscovery Point, DISCO, Clearwell, Concordance, etc.). Fluency in Microsoft Outlook, Word (75+ WPM required and ability to create tables of authorities and tables of contents), and Excel.
