Litigation Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for professional written work product, with ability to concisely explain what matters most and why - for audiences that will include clients, courts, and litigant counsel. Will also be responsible for investigator interaction including evaluation of claim needs in line with goals, and communication and supervision of investigation process. Interact with client contacts for information, document, and witness information gathering, evaluation, and assessment as bears on investigation and discovery process and resolution strategies. Deal with written discovery preparation and compliance supervision - internal and external. Handle witness interaction for critical information gathering, and deposition process. Also responsible for medical record interpretation, evaluation, and summarization of contents as matters to critical liability, damages, and discovery issues. Provide discovery and substantive motion support, such as drafting and preparing, as commensurate with skill set. Should have a Bachelor's degree. Paralegal certificate is preferred. Must have 2+ years of New York State litigation experience. Personal injury claims required. Proficiency with MS Word and Excel is needed. Legal Research (Lexis, Westlaw) proficiency preferred. Medical Record interpretation and summaries desired.
