Legal Secretary/Litigation Assistant The candidate will draft, prepare and process legal and other documents. Experience handling civil litigation matters in New York federal and state courts a must (including federal e-filing using CM/ECF). Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures. Basic research. Strong word processing skills, including heavy formatting, redlining, and macro/template use. Heavy scheduling and calendaring using the firm's docketing software. Travel arrangements, expense reports. Floater coverage. All other duties as necessary. The candidate must have 5 years of experience in a litigation setting; advanced knowledge in MS Office suite; excellent grammar and proofreading skills; ability to multitask and meet deadlines; excellent organizational and time management skills; keen attention to detail; ability to effectively and professionally communicate and interact with clients, attorneys and staff both verbally and in writing; strong interpersonal skills; solid work ethic and team player; comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
