A branch office of a regional mid-west law firm, whose clients range from one person, to start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. This is a full service firm that has offices throughout the mid-west. This is a great, contentious firm that dedicates a portion of its lawyers’ billable hours to do pro bono work. This is a nice place to work, and people are quite friendly. The firm hires from both regional and national law schools, and values an attorney’s personality and diversity of experience.
Litigation Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary The candidate will be receiving and reviewing incoming filings and documents, scheduling and docketing, transcription, typing and proofreading legal documents, correspondence and memos. Will be responsible for opening new client matters as well as assisting with time entry and expense reports. A good attitude and comfort working a busy desk are essential. Should have 5+ years of experience supporting timekeepers in a litigation practice group at a mid sized or large law firm. Must be have experience independently e-filing in state and federal court. E-filing experience is essential. Should have strong MS Word Skills
