Litigation Legal Secretary The candidate will be responsible for: Format proofreading and editing documents, which include briefs, correspondence (such as letters and memos), outlines, motions, applications and other legal documents. Create shell documents from MacPac for use by attorneys, including, if necessary, automatic numbering through MacPac Numbering. Prepare court filings and follow up with attorney service re status of filings. Filing of documents with various state and district Courts, as well as courts of appeal. Create tables of contents and tables of authorities. Create and maintain current Proofs of Service and Service Lists. Submit travel and other expense reimbursement requests through ChromeRiver. Process client intake on InTapp and request conflict checks. Maintain team calendars, client lists, and Outlook address books. Organize meetings, reserve conference rooms, arrange catering services, and coordinate schedules. Must have knowledge of and proficiency in current office technology, including, MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), iManage and time and billing software (Elite/3E experience preferred). Must have high school diploma or equivalent; college degree a plus. Should have 4+ years of heavy litigation and healthcare practice experience (Complex Litigation, and Labor & Employment practices' experience ideal). Must possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to learn quickly, capacity to independently manage competing priorities, and strong oral and written communication skills. State and Federal court filing experience a must, including E-Filing. Client billing assistance experience, working with billing specialist on revisions, including preparing cover letters.
