Litigation Paralegal The candidate will be drafting pleadings, legal documents and letters, both simple original writings and customization of more complex, existing forms and pleadings. Will be being attentive to deadlines and proper calendaring through Outlook. Being responsible for constant follow up on records retrieval to obtain updated medical records and other evidence. Heavy client contact with the patience to listen and handle client concerns. Maintaining client satisfaction and developing a trusting relationship with clients. Regular and timely communication with experts and other witnesses to gather information. Maintaining friendly, cooperative and a trusting relationships with witnesses. Coordination of depositions in multi-defendant cases. Scheduling hearings with opposing counsel and judicial assistants. The candidate should have experience with online scheduling and Florida e-filing portal systems. Must have superior oral and written communication skills. Must have advanced proficiency with Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint and Excel. Strong multitasking skills needed. Must have excellent organizational, time management and independent/creative problem solving abilities. A basic understanding of medical records and medical terms is required. A familiarity with FileVine case management software is helpful. Must be Bilingual in English and Spanish.
