Associates are allowed to choose the practice areas and specific assignments that interest them, and they will be challenged with responsibility and client contact.
Legal Secretary - Immigration Duties : Will support attorneys in connection with all aspects of immigration case management. Assemble regulatory filings, proofread and finalize legal documents, draft correspondence, and prepare evidentiary exhibits as directed by assigned legal staff sometimes under short deadlines. Assist attorney and legal staff by maintaining files, legal documents, memos, and reports consistent with firm policy. Copy and scan documents, memos, reports and other materials as needed. Maintain and enter time charges into the billing system as needed. Update calendars, assist with travel arrangements, schedule meetings and conferences. Maintain attorney contact lists and assist with client development and relationship-building. Requirements : The candidate should have 3-5 years of legal experience. Exceptional technical skills required, including knowledge of MS Word, MS Outlook, and Adobe Professional. Should have strong organizational, communication and client service skills. Must be detailed oriented, excellent grammar and spelling skills. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment are essential. Prior immigration knowledge is preferred, but not required. Executive Administrative Assistant experience would be a plus.
