Litigation Paralegal The candidate will prepare, edit and proofread a variety of documents (correspondence, agreements and pleadings). Work with attorneys to keep litigation advancing in each case; including taking the initiative to regularly update team members on the status of cases and quickly alerting attorneys to important client and case needs. Assist attorneys with discovery, including discovery requests, depositions and issuing subpoenas. Assist with document review and analysis through various platforms. Manage electronic case files using a document management system (iManage) to ensure information is organized and easy to locate. Prepare for trail (including compiling trial materials, coordinating witnesses, preparing and issuing trial subpoenas, preparing and managing exhibits, attending trial). Should have a Bachelor's Degree, Paralegal Certificate and 4+ years of law firm experience. Meticulous, diligent, personable and highly motivated. Capable of responding quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities. Able to anticipate challenges and exercise independent judgment to make sound decisions and take effective action. Deliver high-quality work products and take ownership, responsibility and accountability. Comfortable with learning new technology and processes. Ability to travel nationwide to attend trial. Must be familiar with and able to follow client billing guidelines, enter and record accurate billing entries. Ability to lift 30 lbs (files and boxes).
