Litigation (Trial) Paralegal Responsibilities: Compiling, preparing, and summarizing relevant materials for use by attorneys in discovery. Indexing, tracking, and controlling case-related materials. Reviewing documents for relevance and inclusion in the case files. Summarizing depositions and other transcripts. Assisting with the preparation of court filings, including cite and fact-checking legal briefs, cross-reference checks, confirming proper Bluebook citation, proofreading, and assembling of exhibits and appendices. Reviewing documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria. Tracking and controlling document discovery (including documents produced and received in discovery). Indexing, tracking, and controlling exhibits and other materials at depositions and at trial. Coordinating trial set-up and logistics as well as serving as a liaison among various internal departments as well as with outside vendors, such as translation services, document production vendors and trial graphics providers. Working closely and directly with attorneys and clients during all phases of litigation. Additional responsibilities include supporting attorneys during the trial, including assistance with the creation of demonstratives and courtroom presentation/support. Qualifications: BA or BS degree preferred. Associate's degree or paralegal certificate with 5 years of comparable work experience is required. Ability to multitask using analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment with competing demands. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate flexibility regarding client and legal team requests. Achieve a high level of productivity. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
