Legal Secretary for Civil Litigation The candidate should preferably have a Paralegal certificate. Must have 3+ years of experience in civil litigation. Must have prior experience working with state Courts throughout the state of California and Federal Court. Must have experience calendaring by manually calculating due dates according to Code. Prior experience with the County Recorder, Secretary of State, Contractors State License Board is helpful. Experience with e-filing in Superior and Federal Courts. Knowledge of local Courts rules and the ability to find rules, court procedures, and case documents when necessary. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be detail oriented, have strong computer skills and exceptional organizational skills including the ability to multi-task. Ability to handle a heavy workload including document preparation, formatting, and editing.
