Part-time Litigation Paralegal The candidate will also be assisting staff in servicing clients. Responsible for researching law, investigating facts, and preparing documents to assist attorneys. Research and analyze law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes. Prepare legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, and discovery demands and responses for review, approval, and use by attorney. Investigate facts and law of case to determine causes of action and to prepare case accordingly. Electronically serve and file pleadings. Deliver or direct delivery of subpoenas to witnesses and parties to action. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 1-2 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Should have knowledge of Information Management systems; Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
