Paralegal - Banking and Finance Responsibilities : The candidate will assist with providing legal services in the area of commercial lending, finance, corporate trust, and commercial transactions. Prepares and publicly files financing statements for corporations, general and limited partnerships and limited liability companies. Obtains good standing certificates, certified documents and Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) searches from state agencies or outside service companies. Conducts due diligence. Prepares and maintains closing checklists for each matter. Prepares closing documents and certificates for transaction closings and coordinates execution of same. Prepares post-transaction closing binders. Creates, composes, and edits written material such as ancillary transaction documents, correspondence and/or legal documentation. Performs limited legal research. Performs electronic research using the Internet. Corresponds with clients and organizations, in writing, by telephone or electronic communications, as directed by the supervising attorney. Enters time and descriptions into DTE and release it on a daily basis. Requirements : The candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate. Should have 5+ years previous experience in commercial lending and transactions at a law firm. Preferably have Notary Public license. Should have demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office programs.
