Litigation Paralegal The candidate will work in Calendars, plans, and orchestrates support for litigation filings, hearings, depositions, etc. Performs wide variety of data review and compilation assignments, with little or no supervision. Utilizes court rules and electronic filing systems to file pleadings, briefs, and other documents with federal and state courts. Participates in/assists with fact investigations and witness interviews. Independently prepares documents to assist attorneys with litigation and investigations. Utilizes Relativity database tools to review, identify, and organize key documents and material obtained or produced in litigation. Prepares initial drafts of reports, discovery responses, and witness statements. Coordinates support for attorneys at depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials. Communicates confidently, effectively, and accurately with attorneys and client contacts. Superior organization skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn quickly on the job Enters billing and expense data into Firm system in a timely manner. 4-year degree from accredited college or university with strong academic record. Paralegal certificate a plus, but open to candidates seeking law firm experience in anticipation of attending law school. Commitment and ability to deliver top quality work product to clients and courts. Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage workload and deadlines. Polished verbal and written communication skills. Strength in attention to detail and accuracy, including grammar and proof-reading. Proficiency in all Microsoft applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Document Management System, expense and billing systems. Ability to learn and master relevant court rules for filings as well as litigation-related platforms used for court filings, discovery, and data management.
