Corporate Legal Secretary The candidate under general supervision, performs complex and specialized legal secretarial support activities related to the specific work and function of the attorneys needing assistance. Also word processes and revises documents. Ensures client services and satisfaction are attained in all areas of position. Provide administrative and clerical support to Corporate Attorneys as related to their cases and clients. Drafting and editing correspondence, memos and other legal documents, redlining legal documents, facilitating meetings, client calls, and maintaining attorney's calendars, coordinating with the records and conflicts departments in the opening and closing of matters, and entering and editing attorney time as necessary. The candidate should have 3-5 years of strong corporate and transactional experience, including document editing and redlining skills. Interact well with others in a team setting, work effectively under pressure, and have strong organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written skills are required. Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, redlining, advanced word processing skills for large document production, and other commonly used legal applications. Ability to work under pressure and maintain flexibility regarding work assignments. Ability to work well with others, is collaborative, enjoys variety, and must thrive on the challenge of helping others to complete projects as a team. Good written and verbal communication with an attention to detail required. Superb interpersonal skills for dealing with clients, lawyers (in-house and outside counsel) and other staff, with a commitment to superior client/attorney service.
