Litigation Paralegal The candidate will organize and manage court papers, correspondence, case evidence, and other materials, including electronic databases. Collect, review, assess, coding and/or compilation of discovery documents, and production of those materials. Assembly and organization of witnesses and other case materials for attorney analysis. Word processing, proofing, and finalization of correspondence, pleadings, and discovery. Electronic court filing (state and federal) and preparation of materials for same. Calculate case deadlines pursuant to applicable rules for docketing, and maintenance of the firm's docketing calendar. Trial preparation and support. Supervision of legal assistants in their accurate and timely performance of case tasks. Be available for overtime work on an as-needed basis. Should have experience in complex commercial and corporate litigation. And 3+ years of experience is required. Excellent communication skills with coworkers, clients, and outside vendors (on the phone, by email, and in person) are required. Must be a conscientious, thoughtful, and proactive approach to tasks and workload management, including the ability to establish priorities, manage conflicting deadlines, work independently, and take initiative when appropriate. The ability to effectively take instruction, identify potential issues, and propose alternative solutions is important. Unrelenting attention to detail and production of high-quality and useful work products. Knowledge of civil litigation rules and procedures, including those regarding court filings is needed. The ability to effectively manage complex cases involving voluminous document productions and the related organizational and case management issues. Proficiency with the collection, production, and management of e-discovery, including substantial experience with litigation support databases (e.g., CS Disco, Logikcull, Relativity, Concordance, etc.). Fluency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, including the ability to create tables of authority and tables of contents in Word and familiarity in working with formulas in Excel. Typing speed of 75 WPM required. Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
