This large boutique firm has offices in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. Their practice is broad-ranging, from all aspects of patent, trademark, and copyright law, to advice on entertainment law, security interests in intellectual property, and related aspects of commercial law and other legal areas dealing with technology. We’ve been told that they have a test that everyone must take before interviewing, and it’s quite difficult. The firm’s clients range from individual inventors and start-up companies to some of the world's largest multinational corporations. While there are some negative comments about the hours required, the hours seem commensurate with the salary, firm quality and work required.
Patent Paralegal The candidate will work in the US patent application dispatch department to file patent applications at the USPTO and work with clients around the world. A college degree from a four-year university is preferred. Should preferably also have 3+ years of experience. Prior patent and law firm experience will be helpful. Excellent English language reading and writing skills are required. Should have knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Excel, familiarity with Apple computers, and good computer literacy.
