Litigation Legal Secretary Duties: Provide essential administrative and secretarial expertise to attorneys and paralegals, but will also have the complex, yet rewarding, non-billable work from attorneys and/or paralegals who work in a variety of practice areas. Open and maintain files; E-filing documents with State and Federal Courts; Edit, proofread, finalize and send out a variety of documents; Manage attorney calendars including docketing court deadlines; Submit attorney reimbursements and case-related check requests; Assist with the monthly billing process; Provide backup/support for other secretaries as needed. Qualifications: 2 years experience in a law firm environment who have the desire to keep their technical software skills continuously up-to-date and are not afraid to learn new skills or work methods is required. Must have strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word & Outlook. Effective verbal and written communication skills; Well-developed skills in editing, proofreading, and grammar; Ability to anticipate problems, find solutions, and prioritize work accordingly; Well-developed time management and organizational skills; Effectively manage a high-volume workload with critical deadlines; Ability to exercise a high degree of personal integrity, confidentiality, tact, discretion, and judgment; Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and Excel); Knowledge of manipulation and edit of PDF documents using Acrobat Adobe; Ability to work overtime as necessary. Preferred but not required: iManage/FileSite experience; Previous calendaring and docketing experience; Familiar with Colorado and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
