Litigation Legal Secretary The candidate will be primarily responsible for assisting attorneys with all aspects of litigation including discovery, court filings and trial preparation. Will be using and maintaining Compulaw and Outlook calendars to schedule dates for hearings, depositions and other court related deadlines, schedule appointments, answer phones, prepare and follow up on matters relating to document preparation and time keeping/billing, as well as other Legal Secretarial duties. Should have 5+ years of law firm experience, supporting a minimum of three attorneys in a mid-size firm. Experience with the following software highly preferred: NetDocuments, CompuLaw, Omega, Adobe Acrobat Professional is needed. Experience with TOC/TOA creation and Judicial Council form is advantageous. Knowledge of and experience with federal and state court systems including federal e-filing and state court online filing systems (CM/ECF, One Legal, Lexis Nexis File and Serve, CaseHomePage) is essential. Dictaphone experience is highly preferred. Exceptional grammar, spelling, and proofreading skill is desired. Fundamental knowledge of legal terminology, court rules and procedure is advantageous. Advanced skills in Word 2016 (using styles, track changes and document comparison) and Outlook; proficient in Excel and PowerPoint is needed.
