Litigation Paralegal The candidate should have thorough knowledge of a plaintiff personal injury litigation practice including an understanding and knowledge of court practices, requirement's and deadline's in both state and federal courts. Ability to take a new case from file to trial. Prepare legal document's including petitions, answers, discovery, motions, pre-trial motions, legal memorandum, waivers, memos, case briefs, request medical records, Rule 11 agreements, settlements, and client correspondence. Compile deposition and trial notebooks, client interviews, pleadings, motions, pre-trial motions, depositions, investigation, mediation settlements, and familiarity with all discovery phases, including answer's and response's to interrogatories, production, disclosures, and request's for admissions. Prepare LOPs, and communicate with medical provider's and lienholders. Provide assistance to other Paralegal's within assigned team's whenever necessary to meet Firm and client needs. Organize and prioritize workload so a's to most efficiently enable and facilitate team effort to accomplish Firm and client goals. Should have 5 year's of experience at a civil law firm (plaintiff personal injury strongly preferred). Associate degree or paralegal certificate (preferred). Understanding and knowledge of federal and state court requirements, deadlines, practices, and procedures. Excellent oral communication, writing, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and a's a team, effectively and efficiently, without significant supervision. Ability to track, prioritize, and complete multiple concurrent assignment's with precision and on time. Thrive on obtaining favorable result's in a fast-paced and challenging law firm environment. Exhibit professionalism by adhering to all firm policies, including attendance guideline's and confidentiality requirements. Willing and available to work extended overtime hours, including evening's and weekend's a's needed to accommodate caseload demands. Touch-type at least 55 word's per minute. Proficiency with Office 365 suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, along with the use of contemporary technology in law practice.
