Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities: Maintain organization of a high volume docket. Analyze documents and perform first privilege review. Redact documents. Perform legal and factual research to facilitate case progress. Monitor critical deadlines. Draft pleadings and discovery. Request records. Maintain deposition, mediation/arbitration and trial notebooks in accordance with attorney requests. Keep clients updated with incoming/outgoing pleadings and discovery. Interact with various courts, opposing counsel, clients and experts as necessary to facilitate case progress. Maintain data in case management system. eFile documents in State/Federal courts. Required to enter time and meet expected billable hours/month.
Requirements: 2-5 years of recent experience, insurance defense experience is a plus. Knowledge of court procedures/processes - State and Federal. Strong work ethic. Paralegal Certification is preferred. Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word and Excel. Adobe Pro X. Case Management and Time/Billing (PCLaw and Time Matters experience is preferred). .
