Litigation Paralegal The candidate will accurately Draf Petitions, Answers, Discovery, Motions, Demands, and other legal documents as needed. Prepare cases for the litigation process, such as scheduling deadlines, hearing, and trial dates. Calendar hearing, depositions and mediations. File the appropriate documents with the court and serve the opposing parties. Assist the attorney with case management and trial as needed. Continually communicate and comfortable talking with clients, courts, opposing counsel, experts and mediators. Sort, scan, renam, save and distribute litigation mail and faxes. Audit cases for all expenses (medical bills, case expenses, LOP providers, subro liens). Negotiate with providers and lien holders to dispute charges or obtain reduction. Accurately maintain case management data in Salesforce (case management database). Prepare trial documents and assist with trial preparation. Know how to e-file and e-serve documents. Know how to request and order medical records and affidavits. 3-5 years experience as a Litigation Paralegal required. Paralegal certificate highly preferred. 2-3 years experience with Litigation in Personal Injury firm required. Proficient in personal injury law involving motor vehicle accidents required. Proficient in preparing discovery responses required. Working knowledge of common deadlines and protocols of personal injury litigation required. Strong in computer skills and written and verbal communication required. Efficient and effective with overall time management required.
