Complies with filing system, ensures proper indexing, filing and scanning procedures and the proper opening and closing of files, and other appropriate action required (i.e. shredding, record retention, etc.). Log and submit case time and expense billing for case files. Present information and respond to questions from groups of attorneys, clients, customers, employees, vendors and the general public. Provides monthly case updates to the team. Communicates well, shows teamwork effort, and collaborates well with everyone you come in contact with. Additional projects as assigned. Qualifications: Four (4) year undergraduate degree preferred. Paralegal certificate preferred. 4-5 years experience and knowledge working on personal injury and commercial business litigation matters as a paralegal working in a Texas law firm required. Must know all aspects of litigation discovery. Must type at least 65 WPM and have exceptional computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe Software. Senior Paralegal Duties: Assists attorneys with their responsibilities and assignments in connection with the representations of Firm clients by handling day-to-day case management. Prepare and file state applications and renewals. Continuously monitor all deadlines and prepare and send notices to clients regarding upcoming deadlines and requirements. Correspond with foreign associates regarding new filings, prosecution and related deadlines, and billings. Prepare formal papers, correspond with clients to obtain signatures and coordinate all levels of legalization for foreign matters when required. Coordinate file intake and matter entry in the tracking system for new clients. Review trademark watch notices and prepares draft to cease and desist letters. Anticipate attorney and client needs for specific projects. Delegate effectively and as appropriate with other Paralegals or Legal Administrative Assistants.
