Assist with document collection processes and oversee document production. E-file documents in various courts, including but not limited to Texas Federal and State Courts, Patent and Trademark Appeal Board, International Trade Commission, and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Perform factual and legal cite checking of motions and briefs utilizing the Blue Book and other key cite checking authorities. Assemble shell drafts of patent disclosures, including but not limited to Proposed Claim Terms & Constructions, Infringement Contentions, Invalidity Contentions, and Claim Construction briefs. Assist with drafting and filing of Inter Partes Review (IPR) and related papers. Prepare materials for and assist attorneys with court proceedings including but not limited to hearings, depositions, arbitration, Markman hearings, and trial. Coordinate with external vendors to source competitive bids. Annual billable requirements. Other projects as assigned. Bachelor's Degree is required. Should have 6+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a large law firm environment, preferably within an intellectual property litigation practice. ABA approved Paralegal Certificate is preferred. Draft pleadings, discovery requests, and responses, authorizations, and release of records, requests for medical records, subpoenas, nonparty discovery requests such as subpoenas duces tecum without deposition, public records requests, privilege document logs, production logs, appendices/indices, witness files, deposition and hearing abstracts. Prepare deposition testimony categorization using Case Notebook or another deposition review tool. Supply factual support for statements of facts (reviewing declarations, depositions, and documents) and draft initial statements. Coordinate non-attorney resources in preparation for trial, assist with pre-trial filings and related projects, attend the trial and provide support to the trial team The candidate should preferably have a Bachelor's degree and an ABA-approved paralegal certificate. Must have 3+ years of law firm experience in the Litigation Practice Area. Should have knowledge of filing/e-filing filing procedures and coordinate with the Docketing Department regarding filing.
