Litigation Paralegal The candidate s responsibilities include document review, document production, e-discovery, case management, cite-checking, producing trial notebooks, electronic filing in state and federal courts, bluebooking and tanbooking, and other administrative duties as assigned. Organize documents and coordinate document productions. Conduct the Bates-stamping, redaction, duplication and indexing of documents. Set up and maintain files which are organized chronologically, numerically and/or by subject matter. Under the guidance of an attorney, categorize documents by subject matter, prepare a chronology of facts and create production charts and privilege logs. Conduct various document searches and factual research. Create and maintain internal case databases. Under attorney supervision, gather and prepare documents relevant to witnesses, organize exhibits and digest transcripts to summarize highlights of a proceeding. Motion Practice: pull relevant documents, proofread papers, organize exhibits and create document indices in the preparation of motion filing. Work with attorneys and litigation technology professionals to assess and support technology needs throughout all stages of the litigation process. Responsible for the advanced technical and project management aspects of discovery and trial support. Bachelor s Degree required. 5+ years of litigation paralegal and trial experience, large law firm background preferred. Familiarity with litigation support specific applications such as Logikcull, Relativity, Concordance, IPRO, TextMap, CaseMap, Livenote and others as well as productivity tools such as Microsoft Access, Excel, Adobe, Outlook, editing and conversion tools required. Experience: with LexisNexis and West Law; with ECF/NYSA filings required. Knowledge of Federal and State E-Discovery laws to guide attorneys through discovery is a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, and data management skills required. Ability: to communicate effectively with attorneys, staff and team members regarding commitments, deadlines, challenges, requests, etc.; to deliver a high standard of customer service in a fast-paced environment; to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously required.
